We woke up several times in the night because 27 C was too hot and 26 C was too cold. These are first-world problems for sure. Luckily for us, our host keeps light blankets in the room and we happily donned them at who knows what hour. There’s no clock in our room and that works for us.
We had no plans for today. Or rather, we had no firm plans for today. Today was a beach day, meaning we can do whatever we want, whenever we want. So, we leisurely woke up, got breakfast on the table, and enjoyed our coffee. We also started to be concerned about the snow falling at home and that we never organized someone to shovel, if needed. All these years (since 2012!) of taking these trips, and never once have we needed to get snow removal done while we were gone.
We knew that a cruise ship was coming in today from the dive shop, and we watched it come in from our outdoor breakfast nook.
After breakfast, we packed up our beach gear and headed to Lower Bay beach.
We found the perfect spot on the beach for our tent. Sun and breezes to keep the bugs at bay, close to a beach bar, and easy entry to the water.
We spent the day snorkeling, swimming, and soaking up good vibes.
At 3 or so, we packed up, headed to the grocery (again!), and went home to shower for dinner.
We made new friends at dinner. ‘I’m the short-haired one!’ ‘I’m the long-haired one!’ We didn’t pet them. As Nathan said yesterday…’Kaiser’s such a wet blanket.’
A great advanture every day at the beach! 🌞
Colorado has been pummeled the last 1 1/2 weeks. We’re headed to Snowmass tomorrow
