Water taxi to Colorado?

Today we woke up to overcast skies and rain, again. Nathan was out at 6 am to exercise under the palapa. I stayed inside and tried to rest. We ate breakfast once he got back; yogurt, granola, honey, fresh bread, jam and coffee and tried to motivate ourselves for another overcast and rainy day.

Around 10 am, it seemed that the clouds were lightening and that maybe the sun was coming out. We tracked down our hotelier, to see if the water clarity would be better in West Bay. They said yes, it probably would, so we packed our lunches, snorkel stuff and shade tent and walked to the very end of West Bay.

We arrived by 11, and I promptly got into the water to snorkel. The water was wavyier than when we were here before, so I stayed on the near side of the reef.

At noon, we had our lunch of sandwiches and pineapple, and Nathan got in the water to snorkel.

Sunny day smiles

We saw parrotfish, sea cucumber, trunkfish, Angelfish, cuttlefish, squirrelfish, trumpet fish, and more. At 3 pm, I was getting bothered by little gnat-like things, so we packed up and headed home, but not before we ordered a pizza for a 6 pm delivery.

Once back at Turtle Beach, we ran into Jodi and Rafa paddleboarding, and we showered and met up for happy hour and dinner at the communal kitchen.

Sunset from Turtle Beach

Tomorrow is a big day. Diving at 8:30, moving back to the Monkey Lair, take Covid test to return home, and Jodi and Rafa are leaving.
